Anne grew up in Germany in a musical household. Her mother is an opera singer and before she retired, was classical voice faculty at the Universität of Oldenburg and Hochschule der Künste in Bremen. With both parents supporting her passion for music, Anne started playing violin when she was 4.5 years old, and played her first concert before she turned 10 years old. She also was involved in several youth orchestras. Her mother has taught her singing from an early age on, and later on, Anne was starring in various cabaret shows in Berlin and Los Angeles between 2000-2010, and has performed on KUVO Denver with the MSU Denver big band as a soloist . Her shows received several reviews in Cabaret Scenes magazine.
Since moving to Colorado in 2011, Anne has been working as a performer and teacher. Also, she has been studying jazz voice performance and classical violin full-time at the Metropolitan State University of Denver since 2012, and will graduate in fall 2016.
Anne does not only teach voice and classical violin, but also bluegrass and jazz violin for beginning students who are interested.
I co-produced the jazz celebration at MSU Denver which took place in April 2014.
I am a colleague of Anne's and highly recommend her as a teacher and a musician. She is extremely proficient in her music and has a kind nature in her teaching that makes it easy for her students to learn and grow!
Anne is a wonderful person: truly dedicated to teaching her students correctly and inspiring to be with. She is so passionate about music and has much knowledge to share with any student who takes lessons with her!!
Anne is attentive, thorough and well balanced as a teacher applying
an inviting approach to theory, technique, ear training and performance.
She is a refreshing teacher with a wholesome influence toward practice and
joy of performance... I would highly recommend her as a violin instructor...
Anne is without a doubt the kindest, most knowledgeable violin instructor I have ever had the pleasure of working with. In our first lesson she immediately pointed out both my strengths and weaknesses, assigning me various exercises to practice for homework. Her cheerful good-nature makes playing a joy, rather than a dull chore. She possesses absolutely every quality a great teacher should. A+++++++!+ Read More
