As a professor of voice at New York University for ten years and the owner of a private voice studio in NYC for over fifteen years, the students I’ve trained have gone on to Broadway and major musical theater productions throughout the US, to graduate programs in opera at top conservatories, and to successful careers as independent artists in the pop and indie music world.  As a vocal technician and a vocal coach I understand that each student and each voice is unique, and I work to uncover your true sound through a solid technical foundation that will free your voice and expressive capabilities.  As a composer, songwriter and actor I can incorporate music theory, lyric writing, songwriting, acting for song as well as monologues or scene work, audition preparation, career coaching and branding into any private lesson setting, depending on the student’s needs and goals.

Anna was my voice teacher for 3 years at NYU Steinhardt for music theater/vocal performance. I feel so lucky to have had her as a teacher. When I started, I had never taken any formal training and felt like I had a lot to learn. Anna gave me tools that I still use to this day for my specific voice. She helped develop a language through our lessons that made the concepts easier to comprehend. Anna was not only extremely connected to the technical aspect of singing, but also the artistic side. She always placed an emphasis on telling a story through music, and that was my favorite thing about being a student of hers. As a performer, she was always pushing me to know what I was singing about and why I was singing. I cannot say enough amazing things about her as a teacher and as a human being! Thank you Anna!

Anna was my voice teacher at NYU Steinhardt in the Vocal Performance program. In addition to her warm and welcoming personality, she was a tremendous help in transforming my voice for the better! She is wonderful at helping to visualize different parts of the voice as an instrument, and she not only helped me to expand the flexibility and ease of my head voice, but also helped me explore my lower register, while seamlessly bridging the gap between the two.
