My name is Anna, and I was born and raised in Stalingrad (Volgograd), Russia.
But I moved to France when I was pretty young. I continued my studies and started my professional career there.
I hold a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics, French and English language.
I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a second Master's degree in Management Science and Business Administration.
While attending Aix-Marseille University (France), I was teaching Russian at "Bonjour Provence", a foreign languages institute, and giving private French lessons to my international friends and acquaintances.
After graduating from the Institute of Business Administration at Aix-Marseille University (France), I started my career as Human Resources manager. While I enjoyed advancing through my career, the beauty and complexity of languages always remained top of mind, and I have always had a strong passion for teaching and helping others succeed.
After spending 15 years in France, I quit my HR manager job and came to the United States, the land of unlimited opportunities, to pursue my life's true calling: teaching languages.
Russian is my mother language but French has become my life's dominant language. I am also fluent in English and can speak a little bit of Spanish.
I am a highly qualified French and Russian language teacher.
My teaching approach:
By leveraging my knowledge in a diverse set of academic disciplines such as pedagogy, sociology (human behavior), and psychology, I am able to make the learning process enjoyable, dynamic, and challenging while achieving quick and steady progress.
If you are motivated and can share your goals, expectations, and what drives your desire to learn the foreign language of your choice, my method will likely yield very quick and satisfying results.
I believe learning new foreign languages is an excellent way to get introduced to and immersed in new cultures, it can change the way you see the world, and ultimately improve your life in many ways.
As a linguist, I understand all aspects of the Russian and French language in depth. And, since I have traveled and lived in many different countries, I know the challenges and frustrations of learning and mastering a foreign language first hand.
So let my experience be your gain.
