Professional, active musician will share the joy of playing music with the students. You can count on having fun, effective lessons, and real results fast!
I was born in Cracow, Poland. From an early age I had a deep interest in all types of music. I was encouraged by my parents and quickly developed a talent. I began my musical education at the age of seven studying piano. I studied at The Frederic Chopin Academy of music in Warsaw, Poland and then at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University where I received a Bachelor of Music Degree in French Horn performance. Later I received a Master of Music in French Horn Performance and post Master Certificate, both from the DePaul University. I am an active freelancing musician in the Chicago area. (Chamber Opera of Chicago, Northbrook Symphony Orchestra, Oak Park and River forest Orchestra, Skokie Symphony, Lira Ensemble, Highland Park).
I have been teaching piano, music theory and French horn in the Chicago area for five years. I enjoy working with both children and adults.
To broaden my knowledge about teaching I completed courses: Studio Teaching as a Career, Teaching Excellence, and Brass concepts at DePaul University.
*** Lesson Details ***
Students will learn to play piano or horn in a pleasant atmosphere. Additionally they will learn elements of music theory so they can quickly start to play on their own. This will broaden their understanding of music and they will be able play pieces they like. I have method books and studies for any level of playing, but students are welcome to bring their own. I think anyone can learn to play and I can help to achieve this dream. I recommend the book by Daniel Coyle: The Talent Code. Greatness Isn't Born. It's Grown. Here's How.
*** Studio Equipment ***
DePaul University - regular pianos available rooms reserved
At Home Studio- Casio keyboard in living room, french horn,
seating for parents.
In case of horn students they would have to have their own mouthpiece and later on their own instrument. I have breathing equipment to help with playing as well.
*** Travel Equipment ***
My method of transportation would be CTA and walking :)
*** Specialties ***
I specialize in fun and effective teaching. I teach piano, french horn, music theory, ear training. Music is fun and this is how I teach.

I loved Ms. Anna's enthusiasm and constructive criticism. I have been playing horn for 7 years, and this was my first lesson. I have a ways to go, but I loved how she was willing to help me and give me tips in ways that you wouldn't get in your typical band class. I am definitely looking forward to our lessons!! 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for lessons, whether it is your first or your 100th+ Read More
Anna is a great teacher. We started off with 10 lessons to give our 11 year old son a head start as he was keen to switch from Trombone to French Horn. With Anna's help, he made it! French Horn is a difficult instrument to play compared to other brass woodwind instruments, and finding Anna to help our son has been really beneficial. We highly recommend Anna and we will be signing up for more lessons. In addition, to those who are considering Online lessons, they have been great. We have been using a good webcam (Logitech from Amazon) together with Skype and it has worked out. Thank you!+ Read More

Ania is an amazing teacher. My son was regretting the decision to play the horn after being on trumpet for a year and a half, but after only 2 lessons with Ania, his confidence has increased dramatically, and he actually enjoys practicing. She's patient, kind and attentive. We're so glad to have found her!+ Read More
Anna is very patient and is quick to praise accomplishments. I would definitely recommend her to all aspiring French Horn students.
Anna was a wonderful teacher. She was patient and took on the challenge of teaching a 2 year old. She used innovative methods to engage my daughter and at the end of 8 months my daughter could recognize notes, play a few tunes. We will miss her as we move.
Anna has helped me more confident in piano playing. She has helped me learn the notes better than my former piano teacher.
Anna has been my teacher for close to a year now. I have played piano on and off for close to twenty years. She has a great depth of knowledge and can teach all levels of skill. She has definitely helped me in areas of difficulty, IE theory, rhythm, etc. I would recommend her to anyone.+ Read More

Anna is a great piano teacher & my children enjoy & look forward to their lessons with her.
Anna is a great teacher!! I learned a lot my very first lesson. I am looking forward to having more lessons and improving with my French horn.
Ania is a wonderful teacher. I've had a great learning experience with her. She is very friendly, funny, and super knowledgeable. She creates a strong learning environment and is very encouraging. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
Anna is a wonderful teacher who is not only passionate about piano but also towards her students as well. I played piano as a child for about six years then completely stopped. I forgot so much of the course of twenty years so I had no problems going back to the basics. Anna is a great teacher for helping you understand what you're playing and not just memorizing notes and keys. Like with anything you take up for the first time, you must have a drive and patience. Anna helps motivate you but at your own pace.+ Read More
This was my first time ever learning the piano and I was very nervous going into the classes thinking I would never pick it up. Anna made learning classes very enjoyable by deconstructing the lessons to basics. She mixes the lessons with music theory and interesting facts which makes learning a lot more easier.
She is friendly, funny, has a lot of patience as a teacher, gives good feedback and some homework too. She was also accommodating to my changing schedule and would inform me well ahead of time if her schedule changed for any reason.
Overall, I had a great experience learning piano basics from Anna and I will continue lessons with her to further develop my piano skills.
I am taking adult piano lessons; I used to play before, but it's been over a decade since I've played. Anna is a great teacher. She makes sure you have a good foundation before proceeding any further - she doesn't rush the process. Anna is also very funny, and learning with her has been a lot of fun. She mixes in music theory when necessary, to help guide your learning and to build your foundation. We have 1 hour lessons but it always feels like such a short time!
Anna is also great with scheduling - she is always on time and she is very responsive when I need to contact her. Do not hesitate to sign up with Anna. I read all of her reviews before signing up, and I was not disappointed.
I will second what Ravi wrote. My 5-yr old daughter had the same "first lesson" experience, and was excited to play twinkle twinkle for us when she got home.
The key to getting her hooked on piano is to make it fun, and Ania does just that.
Ania is flexible and professional, and her smile is infectious. I'm looking forward to seeing my daughter's talent develop under Ania's tutelage.
Anna has been a fantastic teacher for our 5 year old daughter. This was her first time learning to play a piano and Anna handled it with pure ease when she began the lesson with two funny monsters and finished it off with my daughter playing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". A well thought introduction like this was bound to be a winner with a girl that age and she was hooked. Anna has been very accommodating in customizing the lessons to fit our child's personality so that it is a right mix of structured learning while simultaneously learning to play melodies that are familiar to a child her age. Anna is very amiable and yet professional in all her dealings with the client. My daughter looks forward to each lesson which is the ultimate testimony to the success of her piano lessons. I sincerely recommend Anna for all your piano leaning needs.+ Read More

Anna is the perfect piano teacher anyone can have! She pays close attention to you and makes sure she is doing everything she can for your growth and improvement. She makes sure she teaches you more than a book has to offer, so you get the full experience. Not only does Anna challenge you to your full potential, she is so patient & supportive of you a long the way to get there. The learning process is so fun because she's so personable and has a great sense of humor! It's been a pleasure having her as an instructor and I look forward to continuing with her.+ Read More

Sweet, professional teacher!
Ania is an awesome teacher. She makes our lessons fun and she is very personable. She does not sugar-coat things, which is a huge help for someone who is trying to become a better piano player. A very nice, helpful, and professional teacher. Highly recommended!
Best Teacher for Kids!
Anna was professional, straight forward and immediately engaged my 4 year old son in the piano. Unfortunately, we can't continue lessons right now, but she piqued his interest and he is still practicing what he learned. I'm looking forward to when we can start taking lessons with Anna again! I highly recommend Anna for children's piano lessons.
My opinion of this person's teaching capability is very limited - I have only had a contact with her a performer. She is musical and hard-working, took criticism of her professors and peers well and has good discipline.
Anna is a great teacher. She has light and happy personality. My son really likes her lessons. He learns fast. I would recommend her. She is great with kids.
Ania has been teaching my son for a couple of months now, and he is enjoying every lesson. She is educated and punctual. Nice personality, too.
THE BEST INSTRUCTOR
Ania is absolutely the best instructor. Ania is knowledgeable and patient. I am learning how to playthe piano and how to read music. Ania makes the lessons fun for me. I am enjoying the lessons and very pleased I started taking the piano lessons as an adult. Ania is the best.
Vibrant and passionate with her love for music and teaching
I play the piano and wanted to refresh my technique and music reading. Thank goodness for Anna who gave me such tools, teaching me a smart way in learning harder pieces. She also taught me how to read and play music conveying the composer's feelings and emotions, and put my emotions to the song as I play it. Now I do feel that besides the technical side of the music sheet, I have also put more passion and feelings when I play the song. Thanks, Anna!
Very enthusiastic and flexible
Ania is awesome! she clearly loves to teach and is very flexible with scheduling
Wonderful piano lesson experience
Ania demonstrates great passion in teaching and this is apparent during the lesson. When she sees that you have succeeded in doing well on something she is just as excited about your achievement as you are. She is knowledgeable in theory and technique so you will not only be learning how to play a song but learn more in depth about music if this is an interest of yours. She is very personable. I believe any student of hers is lucky to have her as a teacher!
Ania is a really superb teacher. She is patient but also firm, and has imbued my seven-year-old daughter with a love for music (and the piano in particular). The greatest testament to her teaching is that my kid's eager to practice!
I liked Anna a lot from the first session. I liked the fact that she is young and energetic. She is professional and fun. I think I made the right choice. I was extremely pleased with her first. She made things sound easy. An hour went by very fast. I highly recommend her to any one who would like to start taking privet lessons.
I loved my 1st Piano Lesson
I am very excited after taking my first Piano lesson. It was fun and relaxing and Anna is AWESOME!. I look forward to the next lesson this week.
Anna is such a friendly, patient, like able teacher. My daughter loves Anna as both a person and a teacher. In such a short time my daughter has learned to read music and play two handed piano beyond my expectations. Anna keeps her focused and motivated to continue to play. Highly recommend Anna to anyone.
Passionate, fun, skilled teacher!
It has been a great experience taking lessons with Anna. She works out lessons to meet your goal, explains very clearly, and the lessons are always fun! She is also good at pointing out what needs more work to improve your playing in a way that's efficient, so your playing gets better every lessons and keeps you motivated. I've also learned other techniques that are useful for many musicians, like mental preparations for performances. I highly recommend Anna!
Anna is so amazing with our daughter. She looks forward to piano lessons with Anna because she makes them fun and she still learns. I would recommend her to anyone.
