Hi! My name is Angie Maloney and I have been playing guitar for over 20 years. I have taught both private and group lessons for about 5 years. I am a prolific songwriter, composing primarily in the genres of rock and folk-pop. In addition to this work, I have spent the past 5 years teaching general music classes to pre-K to 8th graders in Chicago Public Schools. (I have had regular background checks for the school district.) As a teacher, I like getting to the heart of a student’s motivation, helping them build their skills using songs they like, in addition to teaching students traditional and standard tunes.
