Teaching since:

Hello! My name is Angelica and I am a professional cellist/orchestra teacher in the metro DC area.

I have 6 years teaching experience in the orchestra classroom with Fairfax County Public Schools and 10 years experience teaching private cello to students ages 8-60.

I have a bachelors degree in Music Education from Western Michigan University, and a Master's Certificate from the University of Denver.

I took a few years off from teaching private lessons to complete my masters certificate, but am excited to get some students and get back into teaching private lessons! I believe they are extremely valuable in the growth and progress of cellists young and old. I look forward to hearing from you!

One of the best cellists I’ve worked with! She’s a public school orchestra teacher and believes strongly in technique. If you’re looking for someone to take your child’s playing to the next level - she’s the one!

Angelica was my first teacher. I started with her when I was in 5th grade. I was basically new to cello but Angelica was ready to take on the challenge. Right away she put me through Sizuki books and prepped me for solo and ensemble! At the time she was teaching me she was at WMU and she always would brag about me to her friends also studying music! Great teacher! Great energy! Love her! And she pushed me to keep playing and now I study music at the collegiate level. Not a cello major but I still take private lessons
