I hold a K-12 principal’s licence, a 9-12 English certification, and a 6-8 ELA certification. My philosophy of teaching has evolved from over 21 years of teaching experience. As an educator, it is my job to stimulate and encourage thinking rather than to provide answers. Teaching combines knowledge, skill, and compassion. I believe that education is a two-way proposition. Student performance increases immensely if they know that you care and believe in them. Listening is next to caring. My students deserve my ear and words of encouragement. The success of my classroom instruction depends on feedback during class, after class, and on evaluations.
