- Teaches students:
- Ages 5 to 60 and special needs
- Teaching since:
I am currently in my last year Master of Music in performance (French horn) at Boston University. I just moved to Boston from Toronto, Canada last year, and ready to meet new students who are passionate about music!
My profession is French horn, but I have been classical trained in piano since young age, and still play piano regularly in events such as church service and choir.
I also perform in many orchestras, chamber music and opera/musicals as French horn player, working with many talented musicians give me great stories and experience to share with my students.
I believe each student has a gift in music, with the right direction and attitude they will find a lifelong enjoyment of music. In order to develop students' musical sense, I spark their interest with my interesting approach. I encourage my students to focus on fundamental techniques step-by-step. At the same time, introduce them all different kinds of ways to practice, so the practice will not be only difficult and boring.
Learning music is not about playing all the right notes, and I wish to guide my students to discover all the possibilities in the music.
I maintained a small music studio (for both French horn and piano) back in Toronto, Canada.
I had to pass all the students on to my dear music colleague when I decided to start a new chapter of my life in Boston.
However, now I am very excited to have new students and friends joining my studio!
