I have been a musician since I was seven years old and I have played the cello for eleven years. Music has been and will always be my lifelong passion. It's a universal language, one that can evoke powerful memories, ideas, beliefs, and emotions without the use of a single word. Learning to play an instrument allows you to sharpen your coordination and math skills, fosters your perseverance and sense of responsibility, and relieves stress. I consider it a privilege each time I pick up my instrument and create something beautiful, whether it's just for me or for an audience. And I consider it an even greater privilege to get to share this ability with others.
