I am an educator, composer, and performer based in Cincinnati, OH. I have studied piano for 25 years with masters and doctoral degrees in piano and composition from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Piano students should expect progress in technique, reading, aural skills, and improv/composition. I enjoy teaching a variety of ages and levels from beginners to those that want to major in instrumental performance. I draw out each student's natural creativity, motivation, and strengths so that they develop into a unique and independent musician. The ultimate goal is to teach myself out of a job.

As a composer, I have been commissioned to write pieces for pre-college students across the country, concert pianists, Cincinnati Public Radio, and regional piano competitions. I am also the director of the Creative Commissions project that pairs creative professionals with pre-college music students to collaborate on creating unique and accessible new works.

Our son absolutely loved learning piano from Andy. We are both lucky and fortunate to get lessons from Andy for our son. Andy has an amazing way to connect with kids, to teach at their level, he paces himself with the child's development, and he has a passion for teaching. Andy is constantly working towards making the learning experience outstanding. Thank you, Andy!
