Jazz Voice with Andy D.

I am a professional singer, arranger, and educator originally from Connecticut. I graduated from Central Connecticut State University with degrees in Classical Vocal Performance and Business Management, but have since made a career out of singing and arranging music in many different styles from pop to jazz to classical to choral to barbershop. I currently sing with a nationally touring Vocal Jazz A Cappella group as well as a variety of different corporate band companies in the greater Los Angeles area. I also write and arrange music professionally. I firmly believe in setting an example of musical excellence and love providing insight into important universal skills like performance tactics and networking as well as developing strong musicianship. As a musician, it is important to me to be versatile. Having a well rounded understanding of music in all aspects ultimately makes you better at your primary focus whether that ends up being your voice, your pen, your ears, or another instrument. Though I am committed to helping you hone the skills that you are passionate about, I will also work with you to make sure that we are ultimately bringing your whole musicianship to the next level. I love working with students who are passionate about all that music has to offer. I look forward to helping you on your way to becoming a better musician!
