    About Andrew H.

I have 15 years of musical experience studying jazz and classical composition with Grammy nominated recording artists as well as a brief stint with the University of Miami Youth Guitar Orchestra. I am currently a working performer that plays around the South Florida Area in various musical projects and cover bands. In addition to my guitar and bass playing skills, I am an experienced music producer who holds a certificate of completion as an Electronic Music Producer at the SAE Audio Engineering Institute in North Miami Beach, FL. Currently, I am an active recording, writing, and producing musician within the South Florida area in various bands and other production projects as well as providing lessons to students throughout the South Florida area. *** Lesson Details *** Students can expect a very laid back and relaxed disposition from myself as I try to focus on my student's specific goals and aspirations. The curriculum is dependent on the student's specific needs but we will always initially focus on technique, articulation, and basic music theory (depending on one's level) as to help bridge the gap between learning the technique of playing the instrument and knowing what to do with that technique. Other focal points of my lessons include: Different styles/genres of music (Rock, Jazz, Country), notational/site reading skills, and more. Once a base is set and these particular skills continued to be honed it sets the groundwork and base where they can improve upon their technique and performance skills at their own rate. Taking guitar lessons with me, we will try and cover all of these aspects of playing to ultimately to help you achieve the goal of being the guitar/bass player YOU want to be. *** Studio Equipment *** The In-Studio lessons take place in a separate room which has been converted into a music studio including 3 amps, several types of guitars, two basses and a computer work station. If you can not bring your own instrument you may use one of mine, but it is highly recommended that you do own your own for practice purposes. *** Travel Equipment *** I will bring my own guitar to lessons I travel to, and students are required to have their own instrument as I will not provide one for out of studio lessons. Thank you for understanding. *** Specialties *** I listen to a wide range of music and feel anyone that wants to play music should try to as well, as to establish a wide palate of inspiration where they can draw upon it and apply it to their own work in progress. In addition to my guitar and bass playing, I'm an experienced music producer who holds a certificate of completion as an Electronic Music Producer at the SAE Audio Engineering Institute in North Miami Beach, FL. Currently I am an active recording, writing, and producing musician playing guitar and bass within the South Florida area in various bands while keeping busy with other production projects and providing lessons to the south Florida area.
