I am a professional Flute, Oboe, Clarinet and Saxophone instrumentalist. I graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Management Information Systems with a Minor in Oboe Performance. Students learning Flute, Oboe, Clarinet and Saxophone can expect to improve week to week in their technique. Every voice has a unique timbre; I teach students to release built up tension and apply foundational techniques in order to unlock their own individual sound. I can help any student to play Flute, Oboe, Clarinet and Saxophone with freedom, confidence, and expression. I teach Flute, Oboe, Clarinet and Saxophone students of all different ages and experience levels. I studied Flute, Oboe, Clarinet and Saxophone for 20 plus years. I can teach students to read music and pursue classical excellence and pop music, depending on the goals and preference of the student. I have played professionally with Navy Band Mid-South of Memphis, Tennessee for four years and played with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, Memphis Repertory Orchestra, Corinth Symphony Orchestra. I've played with the pit orchestras of Theatre Memphis, Playhouse on the Square, Germantown Community Theatre, DeSoto Family Theatre, University of Memphis Musical Theatre, Harrell Theatre and many more. As a professional, I currently play Clarinet in the Kansas City Wind Symphony, play in the pit orchestras of Musical Theatre Heritage, Barn Players and Mid-Life Players . I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!
