Drums with Andrew S.

I just moved to Brooklyn after completing my undergrad at the University of North Texas in Denton. I grew up in Houston, and throughout my time at UNT I remained active in the music scene in Houston and in the Dallas Metroplex. I worked regularly in the Houston area for another four years before that. I am a three-time Texas All-State Jazz band alumnus on drumset, and I graduated from Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where I played in the jazz big bands and jazz combos. I've learned that students have all sorts of reasons for learning an instrument, and it's more important for me to help them achieve their goals than it is to impose a rigid system on them. If a student wants to explore the instrument, play in a band, audition for a school, or compete, I can help.
