Have an interest in Bluegrass, Irish fiddle, Chamber music, Baroque, or Suzuki method violin training? Is there a song on the radio that you just can't get out of your head but want to get under your fingers? Would you like to improve your music reading skills? Do you enjoy cats? With my 28 years of experience and multiple TV appearances including the 2008 Grammy Awards with the Foo Fighters, I would love to help make your musical dreams a reality.

About Andrew P.

Hello! My name is Andrew and I've been playing violin since I was 3 years old; Yes, you read that correctly. I was brought up learning the Suzuki method as soon as I could hold a bow and have been playing ever since. Throughout my education I was always involved in orchestras, chamber orchestras, as well as a plethora of after-school programs. Each summer my family would travel the country to attend fiddle camps with renowned musicians such as Mark O'Connor in Tennessee, to Jay Ungar in the Catskills of New York, to Suzuki camps in Colorado, Montana, and Wisconsin. Whichever genre of violin you’d like to study, we can explore!

Upon graduating High School, I won an opportunity through YouTube to preform on the 2008 Grammy Awards with the Foo Fighters and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin. This transformed my music knowledge from local chamber settings to the international stage.

I know the importance of variety and utilizing as many techniques to avoid ruts and continue advancement. While I enjoy teaching students how to read music, learning by ear has been an irreplaceable skill that I would love to help students hone.

It doesn't matter if you have a concerto you need to polish, are looking to improve on assigned pieces, or just want to jam on something new and exciting, I'd love to help make that happen!
