JavaScript with Andrew O.

Hi, I'm Andy. I am a self-taught developer which means I had an interesting coding journey to get to where I am at today. I actually got into development by accident! With an interest in web design, I started learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the core foundations of front-end development, and I had my struggles. The reason I started teaching is that I understand learning web development can be a daunting task. I know how it feels to be into a coding lesson and to be having conversations with myself like "Okay, why do I still not get this?" or "I kind of get it, but it's just not clear enough. If I could only ask a developer...". Especially when just starting to learn how to code, sometimes there is not much to show for all of your efforts, and you can lose that initial interest and excitement over time. That's where I want to come in. I love coding, and I want to share my excitement with you! I want my students to feel comfortable when coding gets uncomfortable because you learn better, and retain the knowledge gained when you are comfortable. I want you to feel comfortable to fail, feel comfortable to take as long as needed to grasp concepts that may be more challenging at first. Lastly, I am very passionate about front-end development, and coding in general. My goal is to not only help you expand your knowledge and to help you build confidence to continue your coding journey, but to also get you excited about the process! Coding is hard but coding is really fun and cool!
