Hi there! My name is Andy and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2002 and have loved helping my students to become good guitarists and musicians. I went to Berklee College of Music and earned a Bachelor of Music in 2002 (Magna Cum Laude).
I'm an open-minded and optimistic person. I have taught hundreds of students over the years and have developed a lot of my own teaching materials along the way. I'm very flexible in the way I teach and I always try to find out what type of learners my students are, so I can design a personalized practice plan for fast progress. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
Successfully completed a teaching seminar. Topics of the seminar included promoting talents, developing strengths.

Andy was my guitar instructor for more than year. He is a master in theory and practice and is able to bring you to the highest levels. The breath of learning opportunities he offers in terms of techniques, styles, rhythms, songs etc is huge and allows for training and development in the desired areas at every possible level. And he can back up the lessons by the underlying music theory as needed. In practice, Andy quickly spots where issues lie and provides useful hints to overcome technical problems. In addition he offers useful material which helps when practicing at home.

Andy taught me a lot about playingstyles (Rock- & Jazz) and chord- & songbuliding. He was my teacher for more than 2 years and i wish i had taken my lessons a lot earlier.
If you are looking for an instructor who is patient, willing to go at your pace, and answer all your questions, then, Andy is the instructor for you. I have been taking online lessons with him for over a year and have learned a lot. I always believed that you needed a skill to be able to play an instrument but I have come to learn that it takes passion, practice, and a very good teacher. I highly recommend Andy.+ Read More
No better guitar teacher than Andy. I began with him when I was 10, and was able to progressive extremely because of his knowledge and methods of teaching. I am now 21 living in Paris, playing gigs and still remember and have all those sheets of scales he gave me years ago!
Anyway, hope all is well. If I ever find myself back in Dallas I will make sure to give you a call.
My daughter Jordan took lessons from Andy. He was great. She looked forward to the lessons and practiced between lessons. My wife and I highly recommend him to teach guitar to your child.
Andy taught both of my sons guitar from the time they were 10 and 13 until they both graduated from high school. He is an amazing teacher! Andy had both boys playing simple tunes from the very first lesson, which was so much more effective than teaching tedious scales and theory. They were hooked right from the beginning and continued to improve rapidly with Andy's method of teaching new material and styles, as well as reading music and advanced theory as their skills improved. Andy is very talented, patient, organized and creative in his ability to come up with new and interesting ways to learn. Both of my sons still play guitar. Andy has instilled in them a love of the instrument that will be with them for life. I give him 5 stars and recommend him highly! Melissa A. - Dallas, Texas+ Read More
My son, Eric, took lessons from Andy for a decade. Andy is a patient, skilled and creative teacher. He guided my son from amateur to near professional status. Under his guidance, Eric's passion for the guitar steadily grew. I also believe Andy's combination of discipline and attention to detail helped my son develop an extraordinary work ethic. Eric begins medical school next week and feels a genuine debt to the years he spent working with Andy. Bob M., Dallas, TX.+ Read More

Astute and Professional Guitarist
Andy is passionate about the guitar and music. He has the music credentials, talent, and patience that any future student will appreciate. He is astute in evaluating talent, listens intently and is suggestive on the best approach to further their desire to learn an art form. His personality traits are respectful, punctual and well meaning. I appreciated his ability to explain music theory when I studied under his guidance. I'd recommend his music services to anyone with a desire to play the guitar.
Andy is an amazing teacher and guitarist and has much experience in soloing, technique and basically anything you would want to learn.
