I am a New York-based actor who loves storytelling! I hold a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.F.A. in Acting from The New School for Drama. My experiences include recurring roles on New York TV shows and lead roles in indie films & theatre productions. My focus in mainly on film and TV at the moment, but my training was in theatre acting. Both mediums require certain techniques, but a single process for character development can be used for both mediums. I love film, TV and theatre equally! The craft gives me the opportunity to collaborate with other artists and tell stories, which is something I cherish.
*** Lesson Details ***
My lessons will focus on having fun! I create a safe environment where my students feel comfortable taking risks and exploring their acting talents. Our first lesson will be an evaluation of what your goals are as an actor. After that, each lesson will start with a short warm up and then focus on a specific technique to help build your actor "toolbox". Techniques I teach include: monologue work, accent work, sense memory, substitutions, script analysis, eye-work for camera, and other techniques geared specifically for each student.
