Andrea’s passion for teaching is evident in her care for the individual student. She realizes the importance of allowing her students to manifest their own creativity, and she takes pleasure in witnessing the blossoming of music within their souls. Her reward is seeing students enjoy the process of learning and discover their own passion in music. Andrea enjoys the challenge of turning reluctant students into passionate ones. She tailors each learning experience to fit the student, finding the styles and pieces that turn apathy into interest, without forsaking a solid musical foundation. Andrea also incorporates the importance of awareness of one’s physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing at the piano in her lessons. She believes that it is essential for students to know how to play in a way that promotes free movement and prevents injury. Andrea graduated from Marylhurst University, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy.
