Creative Writing with Andrea S.

I am a comedy writer and screenwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. I specialize in creative writing, academic writing, and college admissions essays. Whether you or your child wants to improve their writing, loves writing but experiences writer's block or an inability to actually DO the writing, or wants to workshop essays for a class, application, or personal project, I am excited to work together with my students and help them achieve their goals. I also tutor Spanish and have helped students raise their grades by teaching the material in a patient manner that focuses on clear note taking and comprehension that makes the application much easier. At Tufts University I studied English with a focus in creative writing. In school I wrote a mix of analytical papers and creative works, culminating in a fiction thesis. In school I taught a successful weekly creative writing class to homeschooled students, helping them improve their writing and create new and engaging stories that they later submitted to contests and magazines around the Northeast. Since graduating from school, my writing has appeared in RIOT Writers Lab, Elite Daily, Refinery29, WhoHaha, and more publications. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
