Born and raised in Germany, the German language is my native one. I will tailor my lessons to the individual needs of the student, and teach everything from casual conversation to in-depth grammar.

I was born and raised in Germany where I spent most of my life. As long as I can think I've always loved music, and soon after I got my first guitar at the age of 13 I started to write songs. I moved to the US in 2011 and worked as a music director for a local non denominational church for the last 6 years, working with and leading bands, playing acoustic and electric guitar as well as bass. Before I moved to Santa Barbara I travelled throughout Europe to play concerts and I published 2 CDs with original songs. You can find my music on iTunes.

I had a great first lesson with Andrea. She has a wonderful teaching style and a great sense of humor.

Both of my kids take lessons from Andrea and positively adore her! She challenges them and brings so much to each and every lesson. She is patient, thorough and extraordinarily knowledgeable. We all LOVE our time with her! I cannot think of a better guitar and uke teacher!

I really enjoy taking acoustic guitar lessons. Andrea is a very talented musician and a gifted teacher. She gives amazing materials alongside with great advice on how to get your guitar playing to the next level. I really enjoy the freedom of choosing my own songs and being challenged after every lesson I take.
I take lesson over FaceTime, because I live in Germany. The connection is really good and Andrea does a great job following up with additional materials.

Andrea is just what I was looking for in a guitar instructor! She is knowledgeable and patient, knows how to break things down for a student (a unique skill in itself), and goes out of her way to find songs or lead sheets ahead of time. She communicates promptly and conscientiously, and is reliable, very accommodating, and a lovely person in general.

Andrea has been giving my son and I guitar lessons for several months now.  She is pretty great!  She has been so patient with both of us and truly makes the lessons customizable to our needs/wants as guitar students.   I would most definitely recommend her.

Andrea is an amazing guitar instructor.  She is creative, patient and kind, and an expert in her craft.  My 8 year old daughter responds well to Andrea's direction, demeanor and style of teaching, and she is engaged and focused during the entire lesson. Andrea is an amazing guitar teacher whose passion for guitar is infectious! She keeps you motivated, challenged and always moving forward. Our daughter needed an amazing instructor, and I needed someone who was flexible with our crazy schedule. Andrea was both, and we have been absolutely thrilled with our daughter's experience with her. She is a very gifted musician and teacher, and her patience, sweet sense of humor, and wonderful ability with children was a perfect match for our girl. Her guitar playing grew by leaps and bounds, which was wonderful, but we especially appreciated how much her confidence in playing in public grew as well. Our daughter also learned music theory with Andrea, which took her playing to a whole new level. Andrea is creative, fun, and loves teaching, and we are so thankful for her!

I really enjoyed having Andrea as my guitar teacher. She is a kind, encouraging and supportive teacher.  She was helpful in helping me focus on ways to improve and learn new strumming patterns.

Andrea has been so great with my 9 year old. My daughter looks forward to her lessons each week and has been steadily improving. I'm thankful for all the communication Andrea gives and the encouragement to my daughter. She is the best!

First, I would like to start out that saying that Andrea is a very highly skilled musician, singer, songwriter and producer. Although she can play lead guitar, bass, a little piano, it is in the acoustic guitar where she truly excels in her talents and it is in this area in which I received my instruction.
 
I had the great fortune of taking lessons from Andrea for a season and was quickly impressed with her ability to effectively teach what she knows. Her approach is not merely in technique alone, but also in music theory, musicianship and musicality. It is these last two areas, in her ability to clearly and effectively teach the more abstract concepts of musicianship and musicality where I was the most impressed with her. 

Andrea communicates her instructions very clearly and efficiently and yet does so by bringing a warm, gentle and encouraging attitude to her instruction while simultaneously challenging her students to excel and not get into bad habits. 

On many occasions Andrea went out of her way to provide additional tools (recordings/videos) for me in order to assist my learning. These small gestures were both greatly appreciated and also helped me to grow in my abilities much more rapidly than if I were left to my own devices. Andrea is an absolute joy to work with.

I will be resuming my lessons again with her very shortly and would highly encourage anyone looking to improve their skills on guitar or bass to look her up.
