Hi, my name is Andrea Castro. I live in Medellin Colombia and since 2016 I have been working as an English and Spanish teacher. Over the years I have worked with students of all ages, and different nationalities, in 2012 I traveled to New Delhi, India to teach Spanish in an institute called Mundo Latino. All this experience has shown me that no matter what language people is trying to learn, there will be always challenges and struggles, that I why one of the techniques I use with my students is to find their likes and passions and create a class that is not only interesting for them but is also very educational. I have a degree in communication and audiovisual languages but today I find myself teaching because, not only I have found my true passion, I also think is the best way to improve your knowledge about the world. TESOL certification from the international open academy and a TKT provided by the Cambridge English language assessment.

Andrea was an excellent teacher. I spend 5 weeks learning Spanish with her in private lessons. She speaks excellent English and her explanations were very clear, making difficult concepts seem simple. My level of Spanish improved a great deal in the short time I spent with her. I also found myself enjoying the lessons as Andrea is very good humoured and personable.

Andrea has such a wealth of materials to really help you out at exactly what your level is. What's amazing to me about her teaching style is the way in which she actually knows even the most miniscule of details and the WHY behind them, like when to use y/e or al/del, and she's able to explain them in a way that make sense to an Spanish Language Learner because she's bilingual. Her sweet and fun disposition also helps out tremendously when you are a bit nervous and starting out.
