Hi, I'm Andre! Originally from the west coast, I'm now based in Brooklyn, NY. I'm a multi-instrumentalist with a B.M. in Jazz & Improvised Music from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a special interest in teaching music. I enjoy teaching all levels: new learners, students preparing for auditions of any kind, hobbyists interested in learning particular songs or genres, advanced students interested in broadening their horizons or taking their skills to the next level. A consistent practice of music can be a great source of fulfillment and an environment that can foster personal growth. One of the great joys of teaching music is in helping students develop their own relationship with their practice routine, so that they can explore music in a healthy, productive way, getting satisfaction from their improvement. My professional work consists of performing, composing, and recording. I perform my own compositions frequently in NYC with my jazz quartet and in various other projects. Recently, I was a part of a 6-week engagement with the band "Fievel is Glauque," performing all around the U.S., mostly opening for Stereolab on their 2022 USA/Canada Tour.
