I started my musical training playing classical piano when I was six years old. From there I studied Classical/Romantic Piano until I was seventeen. Since I was brought up listening to my Dad's Beatles albums and I became more and more interested in rock music as I grew up. In high school, I began learning guitar so that I could become a more versatile musician and to be able to play anywhere. Before I graduated high school, I completed a course on Music Technology and AP Music Theory and I knew that I wanted to continue my music studies in College. I acquired my Bachelor of Science degree in Music Technology at Northeastern University, with a minor in Music Industry. During my time in College I had worked in a professional recording studio, studied piano/ guitar/voice, and composed numerous instrumental and acousmatic works.
*** Lesson Details ***
My lessons definitely vary depending on the subject, but the overall message is to enjoy learning with discovering your strengths and how to create your custom learning-style. Each student will establish their goals for music, and I make the best plan for getting you there! I teach Piano, Guitar, Voice, Songrwiting, Recording and Theory and I am happy to mix or match any of these if you wanted to learn songwriting/piano for an example. I believe being a well-rounded musician is most important for music appreciation, which acts as the motivation to improve.
