This is where it all started! My first tutoring position began with me facilitating academic tutoring services for middle and high school students enrolled in the A.V.I.D. program, a national organization that successfully promotes college entrance and success rates among first generation and minority students. As an A.V.I.D. alum whom has had previous tutors, it was a natural transition for me to reverse the role, relate to the students, and provide them with academic assistance.

- taught unique cultural English lessons that emphasized improvement of English pronunciation and comprehension to French students - solely created lesson plans & activities that aided with English diction, grammar, and understanding - voluntarily coordinated an English Club, talent show, after-school events, and letter exchange correspondences for students to expand their interest in American culture.

Santiago Canyon College

- assisted mentally, physically and learning disabled college students enrolled in the Disabled Student Programs & Services center - supported student coursework curriculum by enabling them with skills to promote effective studying and self-advocacy - provided academic tutoring services in multiple subjects - counseled students on college objectives and career goals.

Mentoring Network Program for Student Success

- peer mentored, tutored, and counseled at-risk students at numerous middle schools and high schools throughout Orange County - presented students with career and college advice by coordinating guest lectures, hosting educational activities, assisting in college tours, and organizing events.
