I am a professional musician and educator fluent in classical, jazz, Latin jazz, R&B, and pop styles. Currently residing in the Bloomington IN area, I have performed with a variety of groups across the Midwest including Michael Spiro's Descarga 5, the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, and the Buselli Wallarab Jazz Ensemble. As a recording artist, I have appeared on recordings with Bootsy Collins for his remix of the "Indiana Fight Song," Indiana University Jazz Ensemble performing "Gennett Suite" for WTIU TV, Liberation Music Collective's Rebel Portraiture, and releases for Oberlin Orchestra and IU New Music Ensemble. Recently in January 2020, I was awarded the Earl Hines Outstanding Soloist Award by Wynton Marsalis at the Jack Rudin Jazz Championship in New York City for my performance of Duke Ellington's "Tattooed Bride." Currently, I am pursuing a Doctorate in Clarinet Performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and hold an M.M. from IU Jacobs School of Music in Clarinet Performance and Jazz Saxophone, and B.M. from Oberlin Conservatory in Clarinet Performance and Jazz Saxophone.
