Hi! My name is Amy Gruber and I have been teaching voice since 1995! I am here for my students in every way. If you have a goal, I will get you there. If you are unsure, then I can guide you to something greater. My major instrument is voice, and I continuously study, hone, and polish my instrument to keep myself current, so I can be the best teacher I can be for my students. I am currently continuing my Opera studies with Julia Koci, a renowned Opera singer from Austria. You can catch her at the Volksoper if you are ever in Vienna!
I am a certified music teacher k-12 and have a BS in Music Ed with a concentration in vocal studies from Hofstra University and an MS in Foundations of Ed also from Hofstra. I sang professionally as well as taught general music, voice, and choral groups while employed by the Brentwood music Department on Long Island for several years before having kids. I now teach general music, voice programs and private voice instructions at the Victorious Voices Studio, located in Toms River, New Jersey :)

I’v studied voice for several years, with several teachers, but I still don’t feel I’ve reached my potential. Although I’ve only taken a couple of lessons with Amy, I think she is going to be the one that helps me reach my goal.
Amy is a super teacher! I saw massive improvements in my voice within the first couple of lessons. She has helped me to stop sounding like the nasally and annoying person I was before taking lessons with her.
Amy is a fantastic teacher. It is so rewarding and fun taking lessons from her. She knows so much about music. I really enjoy taking lessons from her. The studio is beautiful and comfortable. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

Amy is a great instructor
My kids love Miss Amy! Always a fun, upbeat class, lots of variety and very memorable. Anyone would be lucky to have her as a teacher, she is patient, kind and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!
Amy taught my teen daughter voice for approximately a year before we had to reluctantly leave her when we moved out of state.
Her knowledge, patience and good humor were unsurpassed. She continues to support and encourage my daughter in her singing even at a distance. I would recommend her over all others for any child!
Amy is amazing :) both my girls love her musicianship lessons! Singing, piano, ukulele ❤️
My daughter, Francesca, took voice lessons with Miss Amy for about 3 years.I did not even my child had a voice!!! But over the course of those 3 years, WOW, my child can sing!!!! Amy is smart, understanding, and talented beyond words!! Francesca LOVED going to her voice lessons every week! We were utterly saddened when she had to move. I cried for days wondering how I was going to tell Francesca that Miss Amy was moving!!! She was one of my daughters BFF's. We miss her soon much! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AMY!!!! Any child would be lucky to have Amy share her talents with them!!!+ Read More
Amy taught me for about two years, if I am remembering correctly. She took me from a preteen with a nasal and breathy voice, to someone who is confident, with a strong voice. Since working with her, I have been told I should sing on Broadway. She taught me ear training as well as general singing technique. She also taught me classical songs and Broadway music. But most importantly, she was a huge support in my life. I highly recommend her.+ Read More
My daughter Emerson took voice lessons and basic piano lessons from Miss Amy starting at 4 years old up until Miss Amy relocated. To say we were devastated that Miss Amy moved is an understatement. Not only was Miss Amy a wonderful voice teacher, she had a special way of connecting with our daughter. Her patience, creativity, compassion made her a perfect fit for Emerson. We still miss her so much and truly believe that any child that has an opportunity to work with Miss Amy will be truly lucky!+ Read More

The activities are fun, educational, and age appropriate. I love hearing my daughter explain "legato" and "stacato' to my husband and sharing the songs she has learned.
