I have been teaching professionally for 17 years at the middle school level. I have taught 6th grade through freshman high school math. I have done recovery math as well as advanced. I get to know my student’s strengths and weaknesses in math, before addressing the issues. I have a BS in Computer Science, with a minor in Mathematics and a Masters in Mathematics Curriculum and Instruction. I enjoy helping others learning especially in math which a lot of people dislike. I get that, and it’s OK. Let’s find where the struggle is, address it, and watch your math confidence soar. I break lessons down to the basic math foundations, explain why the rule was developed, and how it can be harnessed to your advantage. I teach from a standpoint of understanding, not of just enough to get it answered.
