About Amy C.

Hello! My name is Amy. I have studied cello for 17 years and taught cello lessons since 2016. I have taught music in St. Louis county public schools since 2018, and currently teach middle school orchestra in a public institution.
We will work together to improve your technique and independence so you can become the cellist and musician you want to be.
In order to cultivate individual skill and musicality, I emphasize a strong, technical foundation built on scales and etudes; other than that, you pick the music that you want to play (I am happy to make suggestions as well). Together in lessons, we will find creative ways to practice efficiently and effectively, so that every time you pick up your cello, you will improve your musicianship and love your sound.
I am confident that we will have a blast learning together!
