Spanish with Amelfi S.

I graduated from the Open University for Adults (Uapa) where I graduated a degree in foreign languages. Having gone to the University was a wonderful experience since I could see and experience what teaching really includes. I really enjoy not only what I learned but also how those great teachers touched my heart with their way of handling teaching. I try to do the same with my students by putting into practice all the experience I have acquired as a tutor and teacher over time. I like to work in an organized way, always having a lesson plan at hand before teaching, but the student comes first so my technique includes flexibility since every human being is different and therefore learns differently. I take what we call multiple intelligence theory very seriously since that helps me to adapt effectively to the learning system of my students. It fills me with great satisfaction to see the needs of my students full so I am always willing to give my best in every meeting with them. In total I have more than ten years of experience as a teacher and tutor. My mother tongue is Spanish I consider myself totally competent not only with the language but also with the culture to guide those in that field. I studied English as a second language for three years in the Dominican Republic including a teacher training course which successfully trained me as an English teacher to teach children, teenagers and adults whose native language is Spanish. Additionally, I dedicate a large part of my time to volunteer work with deaf people in my community teaching Bible classes for free, I understand that being surrounded with deaf people for more than 7 years has given me the necessary skills to interact with them and guide them in whatever is necessary.
