Amaria, a Grenada, MS native, began her vocal performance at a local church at the age of four. As a teen, she won numerous talent competitions and appeared on local television such as the Kay Baynes Morning Show. As the Valedictorian of her graduating class at Morris Brown College, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a concentration in Voice. As a member of the nationally acclaimed 105 Voices of History HBCU National Concert Choir, Amaria performed at the College of the Bahamas. She also performed with 105 VOH at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC with icons such as Shirley Caesar and Kim Burrell. Amaria has served as a background vocalist for Tameka Scott, formerly of the Grammy award-winning R&B group, Xscape and has performed at private events for celebrities such as Clifford “T.I.” Harris, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle Harris (Xscape), and Lil Wayne. Amaria is a member of the Americolor Theater Opera Company directed by Dr. Sharon J. Willis. After completing the Audio Production certificate program at Full Sail University, Amaria and her husband, Travis, will open a recording studio dedicated to spreading the soul of music. Listening to her voice, you will be delighted by her grace, warmed by her sincerity, and soothed by her rich, soulful contralto that is permeated by R&B, gospel, and classical influences - a vocal styling that she calls “Soulspirational.”
