Hi there! I have been teaching sewing (garments, crafts, home-dec, quilts and much more) for 7 years at a local shop where I was the manager. I am comfortable teaching all ages and all skill levels and I can adjust my teaching methods as needed to fit each student. Whether you want to learn to read, trace and construct a pattern or you want help figuring out how to create something only in your head, I can help you create it!
I've gone to students houses to help set up machines and give instruction on how to use machines and also how to do basic maintenance to keep them running smoothly.
I have worked here for 8 years and been the manager for 5 years. Working here has helped me learn the proper methods for all sorts of sewing, quilting and machine embroidery techniques as well as the best products to use that will simplify the process and get professional results. I have been teaching all sorts of classes for the past 7 years including Beginning Sewing, Kids Camps, Machine Embroidery and Embroidery Digitizing.+ Read More
I am trained and I have been teaching beginning-advanced classes on this digitizing software for several years.
First lesson. Amanda is very knowledgeable and patient. As a complete novice that was very much appreciated. I learned a lot about troubleshooting tension problems on day one. Looking forward to learning more!
Having Amanda as a teacher made learning to sew a lot easier. She is super patient, has neat and different ideas, and is really nice.
