Hi, there! My name is Amanda, and I can't wait to meet you! I'm a native Brazilian who's also fluent in Spanish and Italian. I am super passionate about education, and I love to help people learn music and foreign languages - for me these subjects are completely connected with each other, as the teaching approaches are very similar. I went to The New School and earned a double degree in Jazz Performance and Liberal Arts in 2011. In regards to music, I've been teaching private lessons since 1996 and have loved helping my students with music competitions, becoming professional, and being accepted in top Universities. I have an extensive experience as a side musician, studio/session instrumentalist, as well as a composer, arranger and producer, and believe that sharing it can be valuable teaching tool for music students of all levels. On the Foreign Languages side, I've helped numerous students with short and long term goals, such as a business trip, being able read novels, or just being able to have a conversation in Portuguese, Spanish or Italian. I'm a passionate and patient person and my teaching style is totally customized according to what each student needs, what he or she likes. I'm also a big motivator, and will show you great things that you can do with the practice. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
