Experienced violist who has been playing for 14 years. I have only had young students in the past, but I am willing to teach adults as well. If you're a beginner, I would love to help you get started and introduce you into all the wonderful music for the violin and viola! I will take the time to find music you specifically enjoy and adjust to your tastes. I care very much about helping you find an ear for music and finding your favorite styles! Hi there, my name is Amanda and I am a passionate musician! I am a violist of 14 years, a pianist of 16, as well as a songwriter and (currently) a student in music production. Music is one of the most important aspects of my life, and I enjoy sharing it with others more than anything.
If you would like a relaxed, fun-focused experience, we'd be a perfect match. I believe anyone's journey into music and improving their skill set should be as enjoyable as possible. I will go out of my way and do everything I can to make sure that you're playing pieces you love, and I will actively look for music I think you'll like. I will do everything I can to help you improve your understanding of techniques and music theory as well.
I like to think I am fairly flexible with schedules and I will accommodate to any needs you may have. If you have any questions or anything, please shoot me a message and I will see what I can do for you!

Amanda was easy to communicate with and she was understanding if you needed a schedule change. I wish she held recitals or regular meetings with parents to go over my child's progression. It was hard after a while to feel like the lessons were worth it because we never heard from her about progress and since she doesn't have recitals we couldn't judge for ourselves if he improved.

I have been an official teacher with Take Lessons since October 2019. I have had my first student with me since the start and have gotten them through three of the Essential Elements books within the six months we've worked together. Two of my students have been with me for four months, and two others have been with me for about a month now. I have been tutoring both children and adults and can work well with any age, six and up.
