I'm the flute teacher who's gonna get you back in shape after a crazy COVID year!
I teach flute lessons in the heart of Mount Vernon, just a few blocks away from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland. With four years of teaching experience and a wealth of creative knowledge gained from my time at Oberlin College and Conservatory, my teaching caters to every age and ability. In addition to studying at Oberlin (and now Peabody) I grew up in a very musical household, and have two younger siblings. I love working with all types of students, whether they’re preparing for college auditions, just beginning the flute, or only looking to play for fun, and I also have experience with students with special needs. Please contact me through this website if you would like lessons, and I will respond within a day!

Amanda taught me a music theory lesson, and she was very patient and understanding as I worked through the theory. I have not found the same level of understanding in other instructors as I have in Amanda. Thank you Amanda!

Online

I took my first lesson with Amanda recently, and learned so much!! In a short amount of time, she was able to teach me embouchure, breathing, and technique tips that greatly benefitted my playing. I will definitely be signing up for another soon!

Online

The online interface did not work so we used zoom. She managed to figure out the fingering of my Native American flute by listening to the notes and watching me play.
