Arts instruction classes were held in several Capitol Hill churches until, in the late 1970's, the organization obtained the use of the old B.B. Alyssa was extremely practiced and knew exactly how to help me strengthen my performance without ever making me feel like I had failed. She instructed me with incredible grace and efficiency, even given our close deadline. Even when I brought her material neither of us had seen before, she expertly found the best route to telling the story and maximizing the effect of the language.
