I am an English professor at Regent University and have been teaching there for over two years. Shortly put, writing is not a hobby for me; it is my lifestyle. My creative writing passion was evident from the time I was in first grade, when I ran up to my teacher, excitedly telling her how much I wanted to be a poet. In my adult life, I have thus far published two works, a novella and book of poetry, and am currently in talks with literary agents about my publishing my novel- a years long project steeped heavily in Norse mythology. Outside of working on my novel, I manage my website where I post my other writing several times a week, such as articles to help people with their writing or my own poems, vignettes, etc. I have professional experience working with a wide variety of people, anywhere from the beginner to professional level, and I want to work with YOU in the style you find most suitable and conducive to learning, so rest assured that your needs and wants will always be heard. Whether you are a student, hobbyist, aspiring or current author, I can help. I will teach you how to incorporate writing into your daily discipline, how to overcome writer's block effectively and reliably, what the "rules" are and how to break them. I will solidify what it actually means to be a "good writer." If you are a Mac user who is interested in learning more about the process of turning your manuscript into an e-book, I can introduce you to a formatting program specifically for Macs and teach you to use it.
