Teaching and guiding others toward the love of knowledge is something I have always had a passion for! I spent my entire high school career tutoring students in all areas of Mathematics. My specialties include Algebra and Trigonometry.
I not only help students improve the letter grade on their report card, but build a foundation for continued growth and appreciation. I am flexible with ages and subjects outside of math so feel free to ask questions!

· Algebra 1 · In home Alyssa was truly am answer to a prayer for my daughter! Morgan was an 8th grader in pre-AP Algebra 1. This same year, Alyssa was a student in my class at Klein Oak High School. I was able to get to know Alyssa as a student and a person, and was quickly was drawn to her sincerity, maturity and kind hearted nature. When I decided my daughter needed help in Algebra1, I asked my class of seniors for suggestions and then learned of her advanced math skills and desire to help struggling students. Alyssa came to my home as needed, sometimes twice a week. She was always prompt, very thorough in her explanations and patient...which is key! She built a relationship with my daughter, was always reassuring, able to diffuse her anxiety and explain things in a way that made sense. All these things led to Morgan's success in class. Without Alyssa's expertise, Morgan would not have mastered the subject as well as she did. I will continue to call on Alyssa as needed anytime my daughter needs the extra help and reassurance.
· Pre Algebra · In home Alyssa has been working with my 13 year old for the past 4 months. Since school has started, we have not had the after school homework struggle that we did last year! Looking forward to the first progress report!!
