Music Theory with Alyssa E.

I am a classical pianist of 24 years and mom of one amazing 6-year-old girl, who is passionate about music and sharing my knowledge with students of all ages. Currently, I am in my senior year of study at the Metropolitan State University of Denver, working toward my Bachelor degree in Piano Performance. I started my piano journey at the age of 5 with an incredible Suzuki teacher, whom I studied with up through senior year of high school. 3 years ago, I began teaching and it didn't take long for me to realize that this is my calling in life - I can't think of anything more fulfilling than sharing my deep love of music with others and encouraging people to tap into the creativity that lives in each one of us! I strongly believe in the power of nurturing ability with love and teaching students not only how to play music, but how to listen deeply and truly connect with the music. In addition to teaching, I love to perform and to compose music. I have played in weddings, holiday parties, and events held by my local Chamber of Commerce. I am an active member of my community and love to bring joy to people through music.
