Painting with Alyse R.

I am a studio artist and live painter with an imaginative style trained in the old masters techniques of classical realism. I studied at The Schuler School of Fine Art, a renowned atelier focusing on classical realism techniques. There I took classes part time along side alongside college courses from 2011 until I became a full time artist in 2016. My classes at Schuler included drawing, oil painting, watercolor, sculpture and anatomy. I am experienced with painting still life, figure, portraits, trompe l'oeil, alla prima (wet on wet) and glazing. I offer lessons catered to each individuals level of expertise. I can work from a guided curriculum with projects, excercises, and demos that teach the use of values, color, composition, light, and edges, or work with a student on a specific subject matter or project of their choosing.
