Hi, there! My name is Allie and I can't wait to meet you! I've been playing the clarinet for 15 years and teaching private lessons for a year and a half (combined experience). I have loved helping my students improve their sound, technique, and rhythm on the clarinet. I am proud to be able to teach private lessons at an affordable price. During my undergraduate degree at Ohio University, I marched in the "Most Exciting Band in the Land", the Ohio University Marching 110, which was ranked the number one marching band in the United States in 2014. I've been privileged to take private lessons under the best doctorate level instructors throughout the years. My musical enthusiasm and encouraging personality will help students to also become excited about the clarinet, making them more likely to practice and continue with the clarinet long-term. I'm an uplifting, hardworking, and caring person and my teaching style is encouraging, precise, and collaborative. My goal is to help you be "a cut above the rest". I look forward to helping you reach your goals!Show More

Ally is a deep, introspective writer. She touches upon the human condition in her writing, which can be related upon by anyone.
Allie seemed very nice and patient. My daughter enjoyed her personality and learned some new scales. We only took 5 lessons to keep her up during the summer but we had a time when a lesson was canceled one hour AFTER the lesson was supposed to start (We had waited around for over 30 minutes online). 30 minutes after the lesson was supposed to end, she said she was sick and needed to reschedule. Things happen and yes, I get sick, but I have never been too sick to text someone to cancel a lesson. I also wish things would have been sent to me before lessons so I could print them out for my daughter to practice. I was running back and forth between the printer on 2 of the 5 lessons. Maybe just online isn't for us and we need a live person but we tried it. Again, Allie seems very nice and all of her reviews are 5+ stars so maybe it just wasn't the avenue for us.Show More
Allie tutored my son in clarinet as he worked to catch up with his more experienced high school music classmates. She was supportive, interactive, patient and boosted his confidence, while reinforcing the skills needed to perform well in class. We thank her for her efforts!!Show More

Ally is an amazing teacher! These lessons have been very beneficial for me. Since my first lesson, my writing skills have improved rapidly. I couldn't ask for better!
It was a good experience to have lesson with Ally on line. She is a good teacher with experience and patience. My son had 10 lessons with her, started from zero knowledge to a good simple song . He played piano for 5 more years, maybe this helps him to understand the notes easier. We definitely will go back to Ally for more lessons when we need her help.Show More

Ally marched in the Ohio University Marching 110, who only accepts the best musicians and requires a high level of physical fitness to hold their place at the top of all college marching bands. This experience gives her an exclusive perspectice that she passes on to her students.

Ally is a true and accomplished professional. She takes a lot of pride in her work. She has a positive and caring attitude. I sang at a party accompanied by Ally on clarinet. She demonstrated extreme poise being able to ad lib without missing a beat.
Ally posesses the experience and talent to help anyone get started! It was a real joy having a clarinetist accompany our 3 piece (drum, guitar, bass) for praise and worship music.
Ally is a great teacher. She has lots of talent herself, as well as a great personality. She is patient and sensitive and a good motivator. She can help the student feel good about himself while being challenged to improve his skills. She is very enthusiastic about music in general, and her love of music shines out. She has played her clarinet for us in church with our praise band, as well as with our Christmas program. It was during the Christmas program practices that I was able to see how well she relates to others with less talent. I'm sure she would be an excellent clarinet teacher.Show More
Ally is a wonderful clarinet player and instructor. She has the ability to tailor the lesson to an individual's needs. And is very kind and positive in her lesson delivery. She has shown her wonderful ability to play alongside me in our church group, even though it required her to transpose the music into a new key. She was certainly able to make quick work of it! Ally is a great person and player. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend her as an instructor. HAPPY PLAYING!Show More
