Ace your Audition Monologue or Speech Presentation with an Agency Represented Actor
Does any of this sound like you? - I'm newer to acting and I want to build my auditioning, scene study, or industry business skills - I'm auditioning for a college theatre program and want help with preparing my audition - I'm on my school's speech team and I want coaching to help me advance further at competitions My goal is to make my students feel confident in reaching their performance goals and to leave each lesson with a growing toolbox of tangible skills they can use to elevate their artistic practice! I tailor my lessons to each individual student's goals and learning needs. My lessons are best suited for beginner/intermediate level students from middle school to adult. I can help you learn how to: - Improve the flow, build, and arc of your performance by breaking down your monologue, scene, or speech into workable beats - Identify character objectives and descriptive actions to play in your piece - Practice the art of auditioning for theatre including developing your own positive audition mindset, entering the space, slating, transitioning into your monologues, and gracefully leaving a great impression - Develop tools to discover depth in a character's actions, emotions, and objectives that you can practice in and out of the lesson space - Use your voice in your performance with clarity and presence - Shake up an old or routine way of doing your usual monologue or speech with exercises to get you out of your head and into your body - Navigate the professional Chicago theatre scene from finding and submitting for auditions, taking classes, and building your theatre network - And so much more! I want to hear what YOUR performance goals are, and I'm eager to work with you towards acheiving them in a way that works for you!
