    About Alix R.

    Alix Raspé graduated from New York University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance and a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies. At NYU, Alix studied with Bridget Kibbey. Prior to attending NYU, Alix attended Juilliard Pre-College where she studied with June Han. Alix recently earned her Masters Degree from New England Conservatory where she was nominated to be a part of Pi Kappa Lambda. At NEC, she studied with Jessica Zhou, Principal Harpist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Alix has been the recipient of numerous awards including: the Annapolis Music Festival Maestro Award for Outstanding Soloist, the NYU Excellence in String Performance and Leadership Award, the NYU Orchestral Excellence Award and the NYU Founders Award for Academic Excellence. In 2015, Alix was also the winner of the NYU String Competition. At NEC, Alix was awarded two Individual Fellowships, and one Ensemble fellowships. This year, Alix was awarded First Runner-Up in the NEC Lower Strings Concerto Competition. Recently, Alix co-founded a flute and harp duo, kairos, which was awarded two grants from NEC. Alix is currently Associate Harpist at Civic Orchestra of Chicago and was awarded Principal Harpist for Symphony Nova in Boston in September 2016. As Principal Harpist, Alix has also performed with the Harvard Bach Society, LoftOpera, Park Avenue Symphony, Chelsea Symphony, and QUO. Alix has performed in Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Symphony Hall, Juilliard’s Paul Hall, NEC’s Jordan Hall, NEC’s Morse Hall, and Symphony Space. She has attended the Aspen Music Festival, the Bowdoin International Music Festival, National Orchestral Institute, MusicAlp, Saratoga Harp Colony, Symphony Orchestra Academy of the Pacific, and Interlochen Arts Camp. Alix is currently the co-director and co-founder of Dorset Chamber Music Residency, a community-driven classical chamber music festival in Dorset, VT, to take its first, inaugural summer this 2017. You can hear Alix with artist MAX, on IHeartRadio, WMNR Fine Arts Radio, the soundtrack of RuPaul’s Drag Races (Season 5) and the film Reservation Road.
