I am a percussionist for the 1st Infantry Division Band on Fort Riley and have been in the military bands for the past 6 years.
I started playing drums when I was 12 years old and joined the junior high band playing mallet instruments eventually participating in several solo and ensemble competitions where I earned high honors in all around percussion, including winning the Timpani spot for the State Honor Band in Texas.
I started out playing drum set in my youth worship team and have played in church worship teams ever since then, currently serving with the worship team at Rock Hills Church in Manhattan, KS.
Through my schooling I have participated in concert bands, marching bands, wind ensembles, symphony orchestras, pit orchestras, percussion ensembles, drum lines, front ensembles, jazz bands, pep bands, country bands, worship teams, dixie bands, brass bands, solo performances, military bands, and many more.
I graduated from Angelo State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with a focus in Percussion and pursued a career in the Army Band.
I have a passion for the challenge of finding each students unique learning style and providing fun and practical techniques to motivate and challenge their musical goals.
My variety in gigging experience gives me the tools to provide each student with the knowledge to reach any drum, percussion, or musical goal they want to reach. I love the learning process and my favorite place is behind the drums in any capacity.
