I have been playing the Violin/Fiddle for twenty years now. I am a graduate of the Suzuki Violin Method and am a 3-time National, and multiple time State Fiddle Champion. I have played in various folk bands since I was 12 years old. I also performed for five years on the Brigham Young University International Folk Dance and Music Ensemble as the lead Fiddler touring all over the U.S as well as participating in Folk Dance and Music Festivals in Europe in 6 different countries.
I have been private teaching for over 12 years. My specialty is teaching styles of fiddling which include Celtic, Oldtime, and Bluegrass styles. I incorporate the Suzuki method as well as note reading and theory training. I teach all ages and levels. I cater to the goals of the student while striving to train musicians with good technique and to develop a great love for music.
Alina has proven to be an awesome teacher of young kids (ages 5-12). She's very patient and kind with her students. She always shows respect and never appears arrogant nor self-absorbed. She is very humble, and she's a great teacher!
