Singing with Alicia S.

I am a passionate singer, songwriter, and performer from the Bay Area! I am a Chico State student, pursuing a music minor. I have been taking vocal lessons for 8 years and have been performing for over 10. I have performed in venues whilst accompanying myself on guitar and also in many musicals over the years! Students can expect to learn simple warmups and scales used to lay a healthy foundation for vocal technique that will be applied throughout lessons. A typical lesson would begin with a warmup comprised of vocal exercises varying in difficulty, depending on student skill level, where the focus will be on how to improve technique so that the sounds of the voice come out naturally and without strain. The remainder of the lesson would be spent working on a song chosen by both student and teacher, where technique can be applied and demonstrated, while also having fun with a favorite song! My goal is to help young singers become confident in their ability while also having fun doing something they love!
