I am ready to help you face all of these challenges and more. As a recently licensed special education teacher, I am familiar with all of the standards and skills expected of students today and the most effective strategies for meetings these expectations. Over the past few years, I have worked as a paraprofessional and student teacher in a middle school, where I taught group and one-on-one lessons in all major subjects, run a homework help group at a daycare for K-5 students, and taught an SAT math and college application class for high schoolers. I also have prior experience completing practicums in elementary, preschool, and ESL classrooms. My education about and experience with a wide variety of mild-moderate disabilities have also prepared me to interpret IEP goals and 504 plans with confidence. I will tailor my lessons to these individualized plans as necessary. I, too, recognize that organization and time management, behavior, social skills, and study strategies are equally as essential to success in school and life as any academic talent.
