Biology with Ali B.

I'm new to TakeLessons but have nearly a decade of experience in tutoring and mentoring students. I have Bachelor's of Science degrees in Bioengineering and Biology and a PhD in Applied Biomedical Engineering. I have applied my degrees extensively as a biomedical researcher with 17 peer-reviewed publications, over 50 conference abstracts, and three patents. After completing my post-doctoral training at the Cleveland Clinic, I began medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine, where I am currently a medical student. When I first started college, I was in your shoes. Having to learn advanced-level biology (e.g. molecular biology, human genetics, etc), mathematics (e.g. calculus I-IV, differential equations, etc) and engineering (e.g. fluid dynamics, mechanics of materials, biomedical signal processing, etc) seemed daunting. However, I soon learned that topics that appear intimidating at first are actually fairly simple to learn once they've been broken down. My goal is to not only help you learn the material at hand but to teach you how to apply various techniques to learning even the most complex of subjects with a sense of confidence and ease. Regardless how advanced or basic the material, I'm certain I can teach you and that you can learn it. I look forward to helping you achieve the success that you desire!
