Swing Dance

Levels Taught:
Advanced
My name is Alfredo. I was a Correctional Officer recently. I am a proud father and a great friend. I have had several jobs in the past, the one I was most passionate about was teaching dance. I taught for Fred Astaire, Arthur Murray, and a few independent studios over the course of about 14 years. I started early in High School. My picture shows Karina and I at the prom for senior year. I was a T.A. for special needs children and she needed a date for prom, I gladly volunteered. I bit off more than I could chew though so I started taking lessons at Fred Astaire. I would go to High School during the day and then hop a bus and study at the dance school at night. After months of training and watching videos of heartfelt stories involving dance I was inspired and haven't looked back. I took her to prom and once I figured out I could do something that amazing for someone I was hooked. I tried the starving artist deal for a long time then decided to get a "real job". I have been working in a prison for 4 years now. It's tough to say the least I love what I do no if's and's or but's. I'm finally pursuing my years of passionate teaching for a grander audience. Dancing is very important to me and I love teaching. I would be so grateful to extend my passionate love for teaching dance to as many people as possible. Thank You.
