Feature Twirler

Having spent 17 years of my life baton twirling, I have gained a great understanding of not only the basics of baton twirling, but how to teach twirling as well. I am an advanced baton twirler who is also a feature twirler for the University of Houston marching band. I have experience teaching the basics of baton twirling to the youngest twirlers, as well as refining the routines of more experienced twirlers. I provide lessons that are tailored around your students needs and goals to ensure they are given the best chance possible to succeed. As of now, I have been a competitive baton twirler for 17 years. I held a feature twirler position at the University of Texas at San Antonio and am now a current feature twirler for the University of Houston. I compete at the advanced level. I have received my B.S. in mathematics with a certification in teaching and am pursuing my M.S. in mathematics. I have experience working with ESL students and well as students with disabilities. I believe every student is different and therefore should be taught differently in a way that suits their needs.

My daughter (age 10) loves her baton lessons with Alexis. She has learned many 'tricks' and loves to show me. Alexis seems to have a goal for each lesson, covers a lot of ground, reinforces it in subsequent lessons, and often sends me a summary of what they worked on in their lesson. Highly recommend!
